monkey business - P l a n e t L e s s o n

The moon.Our faithful space companion.
Once a month it cast upon us a full look
and spreads lunacy to all those who gaze in return.

Thanks to early monkey pioneering - human visitation is possible to this,
our sole satellite. Moon trips ceased after a few visits though,
people came to see it as routine and too expensive.
So the moon is alone again...with only a few bits of spacejunk
and some flags to remind it of the time company came to visit.

When you're close to the moon, like I was, in my rocketship,
it looks like a giant round rock. You can't believe
it's able to hang on up there in space. If it were to fall, say . . .
on us, it would cover from San Francisco to Chicago
with about two inches of gravel.

and its many craters....click here.
